A Home Business For Mums

Are you a mum who’s looking for extra income whilst you’re at home bringing up the kids. Do you want a business which you can fit around your children and family commitments. Many successful career women take a break to raise their children, but at the same time they still want to keep their hands in business.

A Business That Gives You More Time

As your children grow, your commitments change and the time/hours you can spend in a business. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a job which was flexible enough to fit around children of any age and any number?

This is where the MLM model of business is fantastic. Since everything is taken care of in terms of products, we just have to build a team of people around us. Being a mum, you’re always around other mums, meeting people as you go out with the children, so you always have people to interest in your business. MLM is just about talking to people and anyone can do that.

This is not something you do alone. We give you great support and along the way you meet womderful people who will help you in all ways.

So if you’re a mum wanting to create a business around her family, or wanting some extra income, then look into a direct selling company. If you want to know more about my company, then leave me a comment.

Fed Up of Going It Alone?

Have you set up your own business – a “one-man band” doing everything you can to succeed. We all have our passion and love the idea of building a business based on this – what more could you want, doing what you love everyday and getting paid for it!

The problem is that the harsh realities can get in the way. A business is more than just doing what you’re passionate about. It’s about marketing what you have to offer, finding clients, creating products, balancing your work and personal time.

Your own business is a great idea, but too many times people are always thinking about it – it’s not something you can leave at the door when you get home at night. You have to think about the future and how you can always get a steady stream of clients.

Be Stress Free

I know this because I did the same thing. It was fun but much more work than I’d imagined. Then a fantastic MLM (Multi-level Marketing) business opportunity came my way and that’s when things took off.

The direct selling business is great because everything is taken care of – all you have to do is find the right people who want the products. All marketing material, packaging, product lines, websites, etc are taken care of. All you have to do is talk to people – how easy is that!

If you’re struggling with your business yet still want to remain independent, or want to start a business, then look into an MLM business. There are lots out there so find the one which is right for you.

Many people do MLM part-time to get some extra income. It’s a great business to fit into your time and commitments. It’s wonderful not to have to worry if your website is perfect, if you’ll get your marketing materials right, etc. All those things are taken care of and you just have to find the right clients – how easy is that!

Why Multi Level Marketing Works

Are you looking for something different in life? Maybe you’ve been working for years and want a change or have decided that what you’re doing won’t actually let you earn what you need to buy a house, enjoy life on your terms, etc.

Many people get to the point where the 9-5 life gets too much. Trouble is most of the time we don’t see an alternative. Luckily, nowadays there is a way out, it’s just something we may not have thought of.

Help Each Other Succeed

Think about it, you have a salary and from that you can work out how much you’ll earn in a year, 5 years, 10 years etc. if you stick to the same sort of job and within a certain salary band. Will your current job let you earn £100,000 in a year, or a million?! There is a business model now where you can earn what you want, all you have to do is put in some effort and work to create it.

The new business social model is called multi-level marketing (MLM) or direct selling. The Wall Street journal ran a 40 page supplement article on the benefits of this business model in June 2011. With the Internet we can now run a global business from our house and easily find the people who want our products. No more pounding from door to door asking people if they’re interested in what we’re offering.

MLM works because we help each other and our teams succeed. It’s not about making money from other people in our team – we only succeed if we help our team succeed. Isn’t it better to earn a small percentage from the potentially hundreds of people in your team than rely on just your annual salary? It’s a great model since we leverage each others’ time and ability to create success for all of us.

That’s what I love about my business – as I help others succeed and become financially free, so I succeed. It’s great seeing the people in my team become more confident and successful as they build their business.

So if you’re at a crossroads in life, bored with work and doing the same old thing day after day, consider an MLM business. Ultimately you’re your own boss and each day is different. Best of all, you get to build a team consisting of people you like.

Why Should They Trust You?

It’s important in your business to build trust with potential clients and to keep that trust with them in the future. Think about it, when you need some work doing on the house, or you want to find a nice hotel when on holiday what do you? Usually we ask our family and friends if they know a good plasterer, plumber, we go on the internet to read reviews of hotels, restaurants etc.

We want to know that whoever or whatever we use or go to is trusted – it’s a natural human inclination, in effect we want to feel we are in safe hands.

Establish Trust

It’s the same with your clients – they have to know they’re in capable hands and can trust you with their wants and needs. This is why testimonials and referrals are important, it’s simply a way to validate that you and your business can be trusted.

Think about what you can do to give your clients a good experience with you and your business. Build that trust – in effect this is building your future income so go that extra mile and give your clients great service.

Will They Follow You?

I’ve spoken before about having the mindset of a leader. What exactly is a good leader to you? For example, is a leader someone who has your best interests at heart, do they have integrity, are they honest, do they have what it takes to create a successful business, etc. Sit down and list the qualities a good leader has for you.

Be the Best Leader

If you’re looking to build a team and be a good leader, you should spend time having the qualities on your leader list. There’s no point wanting people on your team if you yourself haven’t got what it takes to lead them – they’ll soon see that and leave you. Think about it, if you’ve worked in a company and had a bad manager, you soon lose respect for them and don’t work as hard.

This is your business you’re building so spend time creating those leadership qualities which people admire and means that they love working with you. As you do that, you’ll attract the right people into your team – the ones who are looking for the leadership qualities you now have.

Create Your Ideal Client List

There are now 7 billion people on this planet. Chances are there are enough people who want the products/services you’re offering to make your business successful! It’s up to you to work out which of those 7 billion want to do  business with you.

For example, say you’re a butcher, is it worth trying to persuade a vegetarian to buy meat? That’s what some businesses do, they assume everyone will want what they have to offer and so waste time and energy marketing to anyone and everyone.

In the previous blog, I spoke about the 80/20 rule. If you’re marketing to people who aren’t your ideal clients, chances are those actions fall into the 80% of non-productive work. Find some time to really think about your products/services and the kind of people who will want them (your ideal clients) then go about targeting them.

Ideal Client?

Let’s say your offering beauty products – will it be for women/men or both? What sort of age range will like your products, how much will they be earning to be able to afford them? Where do those sorts of people go, what magazines do they read? Find out as much as possible about them.

With the internet, you can now advertise on a global level so you’re not restricted to your local area. Create a Facebook page for your products, a Pinterest board for images of your products – engage people who like and want your products. See if you can advertise locally at the places where your ideal clients hang out or go to promotions/fairs where you can display them.

It’s much better to get inside the mind of your ideal client and target your marketing to them. This way you spend your time and resources on speaking to the people who have what you want to offer.
